Our strategic aim is to produce high quality interdisciplinary research on contemporary forms of tourism. Our work comprises epistemological, theoretical, methodological, empirical and societal aspects. We construct tourism as an object of study as well as see it as a perspective and a conceptual framework: thinking through and with tourism in order to address related social phenomena. Our approach is critical and constructive and aims at proposing solutions to problems. Our work seeks to be relevant to the big questions faced by the contemporary world-society and raised by social, environmental, political and technological changes.
