Extraordinary measures for the 2020 Summer and Fall exam sessions
All exams of the 2020 Summer session (June 8 to July 4, 2020) of HEC will be conducted online. The 2020 Autumn session (August 3 to September 5, 2020) will also take place online.
You will be informed of the date and time of your exams. Please note the date on which the Fall session will begin.
Registration for the 2020 Summer session is open until 12 May 2020 (23:59 Swiss time) - http://www.hec.unil.ch/inscriptions. Registration for the 2020 Fall session will be open from Monday July 13 to Sunday July 26 (23:59 Swiss time).
If you do not register for the 2020 Summer session, you will be allowed to register for the 2020 Fall session. In the latter case, you will miss the opportunity to do a retake exam as your exchange semester will be finished.
Attempts at exams
Exceptionally, for the 2020 Summer and Fall sessions, a failing grade or withdrawal from one of these exam sessions will not be counted as an attempt. The failing grade or the absence will not show up in your transcript.
Please note however, that if the same exam presented in both the Summer and Fall sessions is failed twice, the grade obtained at the second attempt will be included in your transcript.
In addition, once you pass an exam with a grade of 4.0 or higher, you will not be allowed a retake exam to improve your grade. The grade is considered to be final.
In view of the extraordinary situation, the examination modalities may still change for the 2020 Summer and Fall examination sessions. These changes may be reflected in replacing face-to-face examinations by online examinations or any other form of assessment that does not require face-to-face examinations.
